Dallas, Galleria / Far North Dallas, TX · 2.6 miles from Addison

Mobile Notary: Galleria & Far North Dallas

Far North Dallas starts where Addison ends, so this is the shortest trip we make: 2.6 driving miles. It is an office-tower and hotel district more than a neighborhood, which means most signings here happen in a lobby, a conference room or a hotel business center rather than at a kitchen table, and we are set up for exactly that.

The shortest trip on the board

Far North Dallas borders Addison directly. At 2.6 driving miles, it is the closest area we serve that is not Addison itself. Traffic on the Dallas North Tollway and I-635 varies a great deal, so we quote a window rather than a single time. Arrival times depend on traffic and weather; we confirm a time window when you book.

A district built out of offices, not front doors

This corner of Dallas is anchored by Galleria Dallas, which opened in 1982 at the intersection of I-635 and the Dallas North Tollway, and by Prestonwood Town Center a little further north. Around them runs one of the densest office corridors in North Texas. That changes what a notary appointment looks like here. Rather than a house call, the typical Far North Dallas signing happens in a tenant conference room on the Tollway, at a reception desk, in a hotel lobby or business center near the Galleria, or in a coffee shop between two parties who have driven in from opposite ends of the metroplex to meet somewhere central.

Hotel work deserves its own mention. Visitors staying near the Galleria regularly need something witnessed while they are in town: an affidavit for a matter back home, a corporate signature page, an authorization letter, a deed connected to a property in another state. A hotel signing has its own rhythm: we confirm the meeting point in advance, check the identification requirements before we leave, and keep the appointment short, because the signer usually has somewhere to be.

The three-county quirk nobody warns you about

Far North Dallas is the only City of Dallas planning section that spans three counties. In practice almost everything here records with the Dallas County Clerk, and the branch that matters is not the downtown Records Building at 500 Elm Street but the North Dallas office at 10056 Marsh Lane, Dallas 75229. A small number of addresses at the northern edge, however, sit in Collin or Denton County, and a deed filed with the wrong clerk is a deed that has not been filed. We check the county before the appointment rather than after, and if it turns out to be Collin, the clerk is at 2300 Bloomdale Road in McKinney with sub-courthouses in Plano; if Denton, it is 1450 E McKinney Street in Denton.

It is also a neighborhood

Behind the towers there is real housing (condominiums, townhomes and established single-family streets across 75240, 75248, 75252 and 75254), and those addresses bring the other half of the work: powers of attorney, medical directives, transfer-on-death deeds, refinance packages, minor travel consent letters, and self-proving affidavits attached to wills. Transit has changed the picture slightly too: the DART Silver Line opened in 2025 with a Knoll Trail Station on this corridor, and a few clients now ask to meet near a station instead of at home.

Because this district is a mix of residents and workers, we are frequently asked which service applies. The answer depends on the document, not the address. We notarize documents you provide; we do not prepare, draft, select or advise on documents, and we will say plainly when a question is outside what a notary may answer.

Online is fast here, except when it is not allowed

Gwen holds a separate Texas online notary public commission, so a remote session with identity proofing and a recorded audio-video connection is available for most documents, and for a single signature page it is often quicker than any drive. Know the limit before you choose it: wills, codicils and testamentary trusts cannot be notarized remotely in Texas and must be signed in person. Estate documents are the one category where the short drive is not a convenience but the only lawful route. Compare the two on the online notary page, or see what a traveling appointment covers under mobile notary.

Every Galleria and Far North Dallas ZIP on this page (75240, 75248, 75252 and 75254) is in Zone 2, so for individuals the visit fee is $25, charged once per visit, plus the $10 State fee per notarization: $35 for one notarization, $45 for two. If an address is inside the Town of Addison, it's the Addison price. The ZIP box in the calculator on pricing gives the exact zone for your address, and the written quote confirms it.

State notarial fees are set by Texas Government Code § 406.024 and § 406.111. Travel and convenience fees are separate and are not notarial fees.

Give us the document type, the building or meeting point and a time window, and we will confirm the total in writing first; the full schedule, including the Texas statutory notarial fees, is on pricing. Call or text us, or send the details through contact, and we will reply as soon as we can.
