Mobile Notary in Farmers Branch, TX

Farmers Branch is 8.6 driving miles from Addison, even though it is only 4.7 miles as the crow flies. That gap is the whole reason our service radius is measured in road miles: what matters is the real distance to your table, not how close we look on a map.

Why this page says 8.6 miles and not 4.7

Farmers Branch is 4.7 miles from Addison in a straight line and 8.6 miles by road. The difference is I-635 and the rail and industrial corridor between the two, and it is a good illustration of why this site quotes driving distance everywhere. A radius drawn with a compass promises trips that the road network does not actually allow. A radius measured by road tells you how far the trip really is.

A small city with an outsized workday

Farmers Branch had 35,991 residents at the 2020 Census, one of the smallest populations we serve, but its daytime footprint is much larger than that suggests. An IRS regional processing center operates here, along with Telvista and TDIndustries, and two campuses bring students and staff in daily: Brookhaven College, part of Dallas College, and Dallas Christian College. Add a DART Green Line station at the I-635 and I-35E interchange and a large warehouse and light-industrial base, and you get a city whose paperwork is mostly generated by people who work here rather than only by people who sleep here.

What that means for appointments

  • Employment and HR paperwork: sworn statements, affidavits of identity or residence, and authorization forms, usually signed on a break rather than at home.
  • Student and family documents: residency and support affidavits, parental consent letters, guardianship paperwork and minor travel consents, often needed on a deadline set by a registrar or a consulate.
  • Trade and contractor documents: lien waivers, bonds, subcontractor agreements and equipment titles from the industrial and construction base along the I-35E corridor.
  • Household documents: durable and medical powers of attorney, deeds, refinance packages, vehicle title transfers for TxDMV, and self-proving affidavits attached to wills.

Recording is unusually easy here

Farmers Branch is entirely in Dallas County, and it happens to sit alongside the most convenient county office in the whole service area. The Dallas County Clerk's North Dallas branch at 10056 Marsh Lane, Dallas 75229 is effectively next door, so a deed signed in a Farmers Branch living room can be on its way to the correct clerk the same afternoon without anyone driving downtown to the Records Building at 500 Elm Street. Not every city on this site can say that.

Old depot, new schedule

Farmers Branch keeps a restored 1877 railroad depot, a reminder that this was a settlement long before it was a suburb. The practical value for us is the surrounding civic area: it is an easy, neutral place to meet when a signer would rather not have a stranger at the house, and the same goes for the coffee shops and library near the Green Line station. We will come to a home, an office, a campus building, a care facility or a public table, whichever you prefer.

Online notarization, and the one document it cannot touch

Gwen holds a separate Texas online notary public commission in addition to her standard one, so many Farmers Branch documents can be signed in a recorded audio-video session with no travel at all, convenient when the other party is in another state, or when the signer cannot leave a shift. The exception is not negotiable: wills, codicils and testamentary trusts cannot be notarized remotely in Texas and must be signed in person. If your document belongs to an estate plan, we drive; see mobile notary for how an appointment runs, or online notary for what a remote session requires.

Farmers Branch (75234 and 75244) is in Zone 2, so for individuals the visit fee is $25, charged once per visit, plus the $10 State fee per notarization: $35 for one notarization, $45 for two. Part of 75244 lies inside the Town of Addison; if your address is inside the Town of Addison, it's the Addison price. The ZIP box in the calculator on pricing gives the exact zone for your address, and the written quote confirms it.

State notarial fees are set by Texas Government Code § 406.024 and § 406.111. Travel and convenience fees are separate and are not notarial fees.

We notarize documents you provide; we do not prepare, draft, select or advise on documents. Send the document type, the address and your preferred window through contact, or call or text us, and the total is quoted in writing before anything is confirmed; the statutory notarial fees are published on pricing.
